The Core hosts a monthly event called "Open Mic Night" at the Front Porch, 310 South Avenue. Everyone is welcome, so come as you are, and bring an instrument, song, poem, monologue, or just your appetite for free coffee and refreshments! Open Mic Church will recur the day after each First Friday.

But keep in mind... this is not just any open mic. The whole world has come to believe that the only way to be heard is to be funny, talented, sexy, or at least interesting. But we believe people should be heard simply because they're there. So say what's on your mind... and don't be surprised if people actually listen.
